President Volodymyr Zelenskyy does not believe that Ukraine should be prohibited from using Western weapons against enemy targets on Russian territory, as it is fighting for its defence, not an attack.

This is just like the preventive sanctions that the Ukrainian government called for before Russia's full-scale invasion. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a conversation with journalists.

"I don't think there should be any bans, because this is not about the Ukrainian army's offensive using Western weapons on Russian territory. This is defence. This is just like the preventive sanctions we all talked about before the full-scale invasion. It is the same. This is a warning. Moreover, they have the same grey zone there. They have evictions and so on. They also have almost no civilians on the border, on their side. For obvious reasons," the president said.
