Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk said that there will be a compromise decision on the bill to ban the UOC-MP. This was reported by a correspondent of LB.ua.
Stefanchuk noted that only the Conciliation Council can submit the draft law for a second reading in the session hall.
"The Ukrainian speaker and his deputies do not decide on the inclusion of certain issues on the agenda, because this is how the rules of procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are written. The decision is made exclusively by the Conciliation Board, which includes representatives of all fractions," Stefanchuk said.
He promised that he would do everything to find a compromise on this issue at the conciliation board. The speaker promised to vote and sign the law.
