Sumy was cut off from electricity supply on Wednesday night due to the attack by the Shaheds. The blackout was reported on his Telegram page by the head of the city's military administration, Oleksiy Drozdenko.

According to the official, for the time it takes to restore the supply, the city will focus on ensuring power supply to critical infrastructure.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that Russians had struck energy facilities in the towns of Shostka and Konotop.

As of 6:44 a.m., the power started to return to the city. At 5:20 a.m., power was restored, the Sumy City Council said in a statement. Autonomous trolleybuses are running on the city's routes.
