Yesterday, as a result of massive strikes on the frontline settlements of the Vovchansk community in Chuhuyev district, a large-scale fire with a total area of more than 15 hectares broke out.
According to the State Emergency Service, the coniferous litter of the pine forest was burning, and the fire partially spread to the crowns of trees and the private sector. The blaze destroyed dozens of residential and commercial buildings.
The firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to another residential sector, leaving 64 buildings intact.
There were no casualties or injuries.
More than 2,300 hectares of forests are on fire in the Kharkiv Region due to Russian shelling. Rescuers are extinguishing 18 forest fires in the Region. They have already managed to contain 9 forest fires on the area of 141 hectares.
