Last night, at 21.30, the occupiers hit a private house in Selydove, Donetsk Region, with an air bomb. The 73-year-old woman was unblocked by rescuers. Fragments of bodies were also found, presumably belonging to the victim's 53-year-old son and her 13-year-old grandson. 

This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

"On 28 May 2024, at 21:30, the Russian army attacked the private sector of Selydove. Previously, the enemy shelled the settlement with two UMPB D-30SN bombs," the statement said. 

At 12:44, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin, said that the body of a dead teenager was found at the site of the attack on Selydove.

It was immediately known that a 53-year-old man died at the scene and a 70-year-old woman was injured. Today, during the search operations, rescuers removed the body of a 13-year-old boy from the rubble. All body fragments were handed over to the police for further examination.

In total, the strike damaged 10 houses and a shop in the town - all affected families received emergency repair kits. The response to the attack is ongoing.

As previously reported by the prosecutor's office, one of the shells hit the territory of a household, possibly trapping an entire family under the rubble. The 73-year-old grandmother was unblocked by rescuers. The woman was diagnosed with multiple injuries and a concussion.

Fragments of bodies were also found during the search and rescue operation. According to preliminary data, they may belong to the victim's 53-year-old son and her 13-year-old grandson. The identification of the remains is ongoing.

"Under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated in criminal proceedings over violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the prosecutors added. 

Prosecutors are taking all appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the Russian armed forces. 

The State Emergency Service showed a video of the rescue operation. It is noted that as of 13:39, the SES dismantled 34 tonnes of destroyed building structures. The work has been completed.
