Large-scale forest fires continue to rage in Kharkiv Region due to Russian shelling

Currently, 14 forest fires are being extinguished in the Region with a total area of over 3,700 hectares. Earlier, 12 fires were contained on a total area of over 2,300 hectares.

Large-scale forest fires continue to rage in the Kharkiv Region, the State Emergency Service reports

Currently, 14 forest fires are being extinguished in the region over a total area of more than 3,700 hectares. 

The SES notes that the Russian army continues to mercilessly strike at forests, causing new fires. Thanks to the incredible efforts of rescuers and forestry workers, who face a constant risk to their lives from shelling and the detonation of mines and unexploded ordnance, 12 fires have been contained over a total area of more than 2,300 hectares.

Rescuers and foresters continue to work in extremely difficult conditions to extinguish the fires and protect people's homes from fire.
