During a briefing, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed that Washington had given Ukraine permission to strike Russian targets in Russia with US weapons.

According to Blinken, in recent weeks, Ukraine has asked the United States for permission to use American weapons to counter Russian aggression. He clarified that the request concerned Kyiv's desire to strike at Russian forces that are ‘concentrating on the Russian side of the border and attacking Ukraine.’
‘It went straight to President Joe Biden. And as you heard, he approved the use of weapons for this purpose,’ Blinken said.
Blinken stressed that Washington will continue to support Ukraine, adjusting if necessary.
