An employee of the village council was killed and 14 of her colleagues were injured during an enemy shelling in Volnovakha district, Donetsk Region.

Update. According to the head of the Donetsk military administration, 20 people were wounded in Komary in Volnovakha district.

Russians dropped 3 guided aerial bombs on the village. 13 private houses, 4 shops, 2 multi-storey buildings, 2 infrastructure facilities and an administrative building were damaged.

In addition, there were reports of 2 dead and 2 wounded in Selydove.

This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

"On 5 July 2024, the Russian army struck 3 times at Komar village, Volnovakha district. The target of the attack was the central part of the settlement. As a result of the hit of one of the munitions near the building of the village council, 15 employees of the institution who were inside the building during the shelling were injured," the prosecutor's office said in a statement.

Twelve women and three men were taken to hospital. One of the victims, a 32-year-old woman, died of severe injuries while receiving medical care.

The private sector of the village also came under fire from Russian troops. The final number of casualties and the type of weapons used by the enemy are being established.

Under the procedural supervision of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
