Ukraine's partners are already taking steps to strengthen Ukraine's air defence.
As Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening video address on 5 July, these are Germany and the United States.
"We have set ourselves the task of doubling the strength of our air shield, and today is the beginning of this. I thank Germany for the Patriot that is already in Ukraine. This is great news. And another good news: I thank the United States for another step to strengthen our air defence, our Patriots," the President said.Zelenskyy added that "we are working further, and there will definitely be new solutions."
A meeting was also held on Ukraine's missile programme. "This is a matter of global stability and security - so that everyone in the Kremlin knows that they will not go unpunished," the head of state said.
