In the Dnipro Region, an employee of the State Emergency Service who leaked passwords to the enemy to pass checkpoints was sentenced to 15 years in prison. This was reported by the SBU.

It is a 31-year-old resident of the Yuryivskyy district who worked at the local unit of the SES at the beginning of the full-scale war.

According to the investigation, in the spring of 2022, he passed several passwords and instructions on how to cross checkpoints during the curfew to the Russian special service.

The official also spied on the points of the largest concentration of personnel and military equipment of the Defence Forces.

The occupiers needed the intelligence to plan combat operations, including those involving sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

SBU CI officers detained the traitor in March 2022.

Based on the SBU materials, the court sentenced him to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The investigation found that the former official had contacted the FSB on his own initiative through pro-Kremlin blogger Yuriy Podolyak, with whom he had been corresponding on his Telegram channel.

After remote recruitment, the enemy propagandist acted as a liaison between the agent and his supervisor, an FSB officer.

For communication, the agent created a fake account, which he used in an anonymous chat of a popular messenger.

During the search, the SBU seized mobile phones with evidence of his reconnaissance and subversive activities in favour of Russia.

Based on the SBU materials, the court found the offender guilty under Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
