Czech President Petr Pavel and other politicians have condemned Russia's missile attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv.

"The attack on the children's hospital in Kyiv and other cities in Ukraine is proof that Putin's Russia will stop at nothing. Attacking the most vulnerable is inexcusable. I am now on my way to the NATO summit, where I expect a consensus that we all perceive Russia as the greatest threat that we must be thoroughly prepared for," he wrote on social media site X.

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský also reacted to the Russian attacks.

"While the idiots are dreaming of peace with Putin, he is sending missiles to a children's hospital. I am going to Washington for the NATO summit, where I will promote a long-term strategy to contain Russia. We cannot give in to aggression," he wrote on social media site X.

Former Czech presidential candidate Danuše Nerudová also reacted. She called for more help for Ukraine to stop Putin.

"Russia is a terrorist state, and Putin is a mass murderer. He is pretending to want peace, now shelling the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv. Other civilian buildings have also been damaged. We will stop Putin only by helping Ukraine more," she wrote.

Senate member Pavel Fischer stressed that the attack on the hospital is a war crime.

"The attack by Russian troops on the children's hospital in Kyiv is a war crime. I have no words for it. Moscow has decided to escalate," said Czech Senate member Pavel Fischer.

"The attack by Russian terrorists on a children's hospital in Kyiv... There are no words. Is this the result of the recent 'peace mission' to Moscow?! (referring to the trip of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban - ed.)," writes Czech Minister of European Affairs Martin Dvorak.
Today, during a massive Russian missile attack on Ukraine, the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv was damaged. There are children under the rubble.

As of 14:00, there are 16 wounded. Seven of them are children.
