On the night of 7 July, the Russian army attacked the territory of Ukraine with two Iskander missiles and 13 Shaheds. Air defence forces managed to " shoot down" all enemy drones.
This was reported by the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk.
"On the night of 7 July 2024, the enemy attacked with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 13 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs from the Kursk Region of the Russian Federation," the statement said.
As a result of combat operations, anti-aircraft missile units, calculations of mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces and electronic warfare systems of the Air Force of Ukraine shot down 13 Shaheds in Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Sumy and Poltava Regions.
