During a meeting in Washington with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a military aid package for Ukraine worth CAD 500 million.
According to the President's website, the Canadian prime minister also expressed the country's readiness to provide the necessary medical assistance to the victims of the Russian shelling of the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv.
As part of the fighter jet coalition, Zelenskyy and Trudeau discussed the possibility of expanding training for Ukrainian pilots, including training on Canadian flight simulators. They also discussed the possibility of holding a thematic meeting in Canada based on the Peace Summit in Switzerland to implement the points of the peace plan.
