During a speech at the Ronald Reagan Institute in Washington, D.C., President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine needs 128 F-16 fighter jets to be able to confront Russia in the sky.

"The problem with F-16s is the number and dates. Let's be honest. Russia uses 300 aircraft against Ukraine every day. We had a decision about 10-20. Even if it is 50, it is nothing. We are defending ourselves, we need 128 [...] Until we have 128 aircraft, we will not be able to match them in the sky," the president said.

During his speech at the Ronald Reagan Institute in Washington, D.C., Volodymyr Zelenskyy also called on the United States to lift restrictions on its weapons strikes on Russian territory. In particular, the President outlined what Ukraine would be able to achieve after the ban on long-range strikes is lifted.
