President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Washington on the eve of the NATO summit to "fight" for more air defence systems and F-16 aircraft.
He said this in a video address in the evening.
"The NATO summit starts today. We are fighting for more air defence systems for Ukraine. I am sure that it will happen. We are fighting for more aircraft. F-16. We are fighting for them," he said.
He added that he would also talk about additional security guarantees for Ukraine, including weapons, finance and political support.
"We are fighting for the necessary decisive actions of America and Europe - something that will strengthen our soldiers," he said and stressed that it is not only our country that needs to make the Russian terror lose, but everyone.
The President also told about the allocation of 100 million hryvnyas to support Okhmatdyt and announced the next 300 million.
He also added "other solutions" to support Kyiv, the cities of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk Regions.
"I thank the leaders, countries - all those who yesterday and today condemned Russian terror. We appreciate your support, friends! We are on the phone - we are working with our partners now to ensure that no one is silent. We want everyone to condemn. And I really want everyone to act. We want to make the right decisions that will restore security. In particular, the decisions here in Washington, here at the NATO summit," Zelenskyy summed up.
