On the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington, D.C., New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Laxon announced that his government would provide NZ$16 million (USD9.8 million) in aid to Ukraine. This was announced by Ukraine's Ambassador to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko.
The package includes both military and humanitarian aid.
In particular, $3.68 million is military aid. Of this amount, $2.45 million will go to the Drone Coalition, led by the United Kingdom and Latvia, and another $1.23 million will go to Ukraine's military medical needs.
New Zealand has allocated $6.12 million for humanitarian purposes.
