The United States, Japan, the European Union and 21 NATO countries with which our country has security agreements have signed the Ukraine Compact in Washington, DC, which defines the principles of support for Ukraine in the defence sector.
According to Yevropeyska Pravda, the document is aimed at "comprehensively meeting Ukraine's security needs" and contains three key provisions.
The signatories pledged to continue to provide assistance to our country in the areas of security, military training, equipment and the defence industry. They will also accelerate efforts to build up the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
And in the event of repeated Russian aggression after the cessation of the current hostilities, all states must meet quickly at the highest level and determine appropriate next steps, including providing assistance and imposing economic and other sanctions on Russia.
