In the western regions of Ukraine, a high-voltage overhead line was shut down due to a fire caused by the heat. The substation has been restored.

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.

As noted in the report, the weather is hot in Ukraine, so electricity consumption may increase, in particular due to the active use of air conditioning.

The heat has also caused some emergencies, including fires at energy facilities. In particular, a high-voltage overhead line in the west of the country was shut down due to a fire caused by the heat. The fire has been extinguished.

In addition, a high-voltage substation went offline at night, which led to a blackout of the overhead line connecting the power systems of Ukraine and Moldova. Due to the heat, a fire broke out at the substation and was extinguished.

Also in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, an overhead power line was disconnected due to hostilities, which led to a blackout at a substation and household consumers. The line was later disconnected again due to a fire.
