On the night of 20 July, the Russian army attacked the railway infrastructure in Kharkiv Region, damaging buildings and rolling stock and injuring four railway workers.
This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsya JSC.
‘Another night of hostile attacks on the Kharkiv railway. 4 of our people were injured (fortunately, slightly), buildings and rolling stock were damaged,’ the statement said.
Due to the damage to the contact network, Kyiv-Kharkiv trains No. 63 and No. 719 stopped at the exit from Kharkiv. Trains resumed running at night.
The Intercity train to Kramatorsk was also delayed as a result of the night attack.
Railways have collected all the information about passenger transfers, Ukrzaliznytsya said.
‘Transfers for passengers of night trains from Kharkiv have been successfully completed, and track works in the areas of shelling are ongoing. A number of trains are running with delays due to damage to the infrastructure,’ UZ said in an update.
