Today, on 6 August, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he had held a meeting of the Stavka of the Supreme Commander.
The number one issue was the situation at the front. The Pokrovsk, Toretsk and Kharkiv directions were discussed in particular detail. Commander Oleksandr Syrskyy reported via video link: he is on the ground and keeps the situation under his personal control.
Separate reports from the intelligence services - the DIU and the SZRU - on forecasts of the situation and the immediate goals of the Russian troops.
Issue number two is our own drones and missiles. The needs of the Defence Forces by the end of the year and the dynamics of production. Presentations by Defence Minister Rustem Umerov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation Mykhaylo Fedorov and Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin.
"By the decision made by Stavka of the Supreme Commander, additional funding has been allocated to our missile programme. There will be more missiles of our own production," Zelenskyy said.
Another report by Defence Minister Rustem Umerov was on the supply of weapons and equipment to additional brigades. We are actively working with partners, the Supreme Commander added.
