Russia attacks overnight with missiles, drones: air defence shoots them down

Two Iskander-Ms were not shot down.

At night, Russia launched a missile and drone strike against Ukraine. The Russians launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the territory of Belgorod Region, targeting Kharkiv Region. The Russians also launched two X-59 guided missiles from the airspace over the Sea of Azov.

In addition, they launched four Shahed drones. All the drones were shot down; only the aircraft missiles were downed, Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk wrote on Telegram.

"As a result of an anti-aircraft battle, mobile firing groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, anti-aircraft missile troops and electronic warfare units of the Air Force shot down two X-59 guided missiles and 4 attack UAVs in Odesa, Kherson and Kirovohrad Regions," he said.
