Today, on 8 August, Sumy Region came under Russian shelling.

In total, during the day, Russians fired 27 times at Sumy Region, during which 79 explosions were heard.
Two civilians, a local resident and a 6-year-old child, were killed in the Yunakivka community as a result of a strike by the KABs. Another local resident sustained multiple injuries. The Russians also shelled the community with artillery.
A local resident was wounded in Sumy community as a result of a strike by KABs, and 4 civilians were wounded in Khotin community.
The Russians attacked numerous communities with mortars, grenade launchers, FPV drones, and KABs.
