During a night attack, one of the Russian drones flew in close proximity to the Khmelnytskyy nuclear power plant.
This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Khmelnytskyy Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Tyurin.
Later, this Shahed was shot down by air defence forces.
"This is not the first time that Russia has deliberately laid out the routes of missiles and attack drones so that they pass over Ukraine's nuclear facilities. This is part of Russia's terrorist tactics. That is why President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and all representatives of our state are so actively appealing to our partners to strengthen air defence and increase pressure on the aggressor. And it is important that this is understood at all levels - strengthening Ukraine's air shield protects everyone who values life," said Tyurin.
He thanked the air defence forces for their effective work and eliminating the threat to critical infrastructure.
