The Prosecutor General's Office has responded to information about almost fifty prosecutors of the Khmelnytskyy Regional Prosecutor's Office who have received disability groups.
According to a statement from the PGO, Andriy Kostin signed an order to conduct an internal investigation.
‘The internal investigation will cover the verification of not only information related to the above-mentioned regional prosecutor's office, but also other prosecutor's offices. The commission for the internal investigation has already begun collecting information and documents to clarify these circumstances,’ the Prosecutor General's Office said.
The information was published on 16 October by journalist Yuriy Butusov. According to him, 49 prosecutors of Khmelnytskyy Region ‘headed by Regional Prosecutor Oliynyk received disability by “roofing” the corruption scheme of Krupa's servant in the MSEC and Pension Fund’. Butusov noted that almost all prosecutors were classified as second-group disabled according to the decision of the former chief doctor of the MSEC, Tetyana Krupa. For many years, they have been receiving and continue to receive disability pensions from the state in accordance with the decisions of the head of the Pension Fund, who was Krupa's son.
