On the night of 28 October 2024, Russia launched 100 Shahed strike UAVs and unidentified drones from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation.
This was reported by the press service of the Air Force.
As of 10.30 a.m., 66 Russian UAVs were confirmed to have been shot down in Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Poltava, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Khmelnytskyy, Ternopil, Mykolayiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Cherkasy Regions. Most of the Russian UAVs were shot down in Kyiv, Cherkasy and Khmelnytskyy Regions.
In addition, 24 Russian drones were lost in the area, 4 of which flew towards Russia and Belarus. Unfortunately, there have been several UAVs hitting civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.
