According to Ukrainian intelligence, 11,000 military personnel from North Korea are already in the Kursk Region.
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his evening address.
President Zelenskyy noted that during the reports of the military leadership, the Kursk operation was discussed separately.
‘Three months of our active actions in the Kursk Region are coming up. And this is important - we keep this ‘sanitary zone’ in certain areas near our state border. And we must appreciate the importance of this operation - the Kursk operation - for replenishing our exchange fund. It greatly helped the liberation of our people from Russian captivity,’ the President noted.
‘There was also a separate report today by the Defence Intelligence and the Foreign Intelligence Service on North Korean troops in Russia. There are already 11,000 in the Kursk Region. We see an increase in North Koreans and no increase in the reaction of our partners, unfortunately,’ Zelenskyy said.
