During a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed support for Ukraine, air defence and the situation at the front.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
‘We discussed further cooperation on the organisation of the second Peace Summit and the involvement of the countries of the Global South in this work. In addition, the Prime Minister announced the shipment of the first NASAMS air defence system ordered by Canada for Ukraine. We expect to receive it by the end of this year,’ Zelenskyy wrote.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Justin Trudeau for the successful thematic conference on the fourth point of the Peace Formula, ‘Release of Prisoners and Deportees,’ which took place in Montreal on 30-31 October.
‘The next stage should be the preparation of a final document - the Peace Plan - based on the results of all thematic conferences,’ he said.
The parties also discussed further defence support for Ukraine, the situation at the frontline, including the involvement of North Korea in the war.
The interlocutors coordinated cooperation within the framework of Canada's presidency of the G7 in 2025.
