On 1 November, the United States announced a new $425 million aid package for Ukraine.
This is stated on the Pentagon's website.
‘This package will provide our country with additional capabilities to meet its most urgent needs, including: air defence interceptors, ammunition for missile systems and artillery, armoured vehicles and anti-tank weapons.
The list includes:
- ammunition for NASAMS;
- Stinger missiles;
- equipment and ammunition to combat UAVs;
- air-to-ground ammunition;
- ammunition for HIMARS;
- 155-mm and 105-mm artillery ammunition;
- TOW missiles;
- Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems;
- Stryker armoured personnel carriers;
- small arms and ammunition;
- medical equipment;
- equipment and explosive ammunition;
- spare parts, auxiliary equipment, services, training and transportation.
The day before, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin announced the new support package. This month, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had agreed with the US that it would receive aid very quickly - once every two to three weeks.
