On 12 November, the Russians used a new drone development, the Molniya, to shell Kharkiv.
This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutor's office spokesman Dmytro Chubenko said that these were barrage munitions of the aircraft type.
‘This is a small drone, a UAV, which is very simple in design, very cheap to manufacture, made of plywood, plastic and is a cross between a large household drone and a Shahed. It has a range of about 40 kilometres and can carry various types of weapons weighing about 3-5 kilograms,’ Chubenko said.
The spokesman noted that it is impossible to achieve any military goals with such a UAV.
‘It cannot significantly destroy a building, damage it, destroy a military facility, and in fact, civilians walking in the streets or in their apartments are injured,’ Chubenko added.
