Ukrainian air defence neutralised 29 of the 50 Shahed drones launched by Russia on the night of 4 December. Drones were intercepted across nine Regions.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force, which noted that Russia targeted Ukraine using an X-59/69 guided missile launched from the airspace over the Kursk Region, along with 50 Shahed strike UAVs and other drones. Launch points included Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Orel, and Millerovo in Russia.
As of 09:00, units of Ukraine’s anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare teams, and mobile fire groups successfully downed 29 enemy UAVs in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Khmelnytskyy, Ternopil, Mykolayiv, and Donetsk Regions.
Eighteen drones were lost locally, while one exited controlled airspace toward temporarily occupied territory.
