During a meeting of NATO foreign ministers, diplomats identified air defence systems that Ukraine could receive in a short time.
This was announced at a press conference by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Heorhiy Tykhyy, RBC-Ukraine reports.
According to him, at the Alliance's headquarters, the ministers primarily discussed military support for our country, especially the strengthening of the air shield.
‘I can say that as a result of the ministerial talks at NATO Headquarters, we managed to identify a number of such systems, missiles and other equipment that can be transferred to Ukraine in a short time. We are currently actively working with our partners to implement these steps,' Tykhyy said.
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson added that Ukraine urgently needs to receive 20 HAWK, NASAMS and IRIS-T systems to protect critical energy infrastructure. These deliveries are needed by the end of this year, if possible.
