On the night of 6 December, Ukrainian air defence forces intercepted and shot down 32 of 53 drones launched by Russia.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the drones were launched from Orel in the Russian Federation.
By 07:00, units of anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare teams, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defence Forces had successfully neutralised 32 Russian UAVs over the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, and Zhytomyr Regions.
However, 16 drones were lost locally, and 2 exited Ukraine’s controlled airspace, heading toward Belarus.
