Ukrainian drones and Defence Intelligence units (GUR) targeted an oil depot in Russia’s Bryansk Region during the night of 11 December, the General Staff of Ukraine has reported.
The attack hit the Bryansk oil tank farm, a key loading point for the Druzhba oil pipeline. This facility stores and distributes diesel fuel for tankers and rail transport, playing a critical role in supplying the Russian military.
“According to available information, the oil depot was hit, resulting in a massive fire,” the General Staff stated.
- Ukraine clarified that oil infrastructure is a legitimate target, as it supports the Russian army and generates revenue for the Kremlin to continue the war.
