On the night of 19 December, Ukraine's air defence shot down 45 attack drones launched by the Russians. Another 40 drones were lost in the area.
According to the Air Force, the Russian military struck with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from Crimea and Rostov Region, an X-59/69 guided missile from the airspace of Kursk Region, and 85 Shahed attack drones and other types of drones from the Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and Orel Regions of Russia.
As of 08.30 a.m., 45 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones were confirmed downed in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolayiv Regions.
As a result of active countermeasures by the Defence Forces, 40 Russian decoy drones were lost in the area (without any negative consequences).
Private, apartment buildings and municipal property in Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk Regions were damaged as a result of a missile strike. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.
No UAV hits were recorded, and there was no information on damage or casualties.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defence Forces.
The Russian army attacked Kryvyy Rih with missiles at night. Infrastructure, two nine-storey buildings, a hospital, a school, a shop and 10 cars were damaged.
