Germany will soon provide Ukraine with additional guided missiles for Iris-T air defence systems.
This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Defence Boris Pistorius at the Ramstein airbase, where the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defence met on 9 January, N-TV reports.
According to Pistorius, the interceptor missiles were originally intended for the Bundeswehr, but now they are being redirected directly from production to Ukraine.
"We will first supply Ukraine before we replenish our stocks," the German minister said.
Pistorius did not specify the amount of such assistance.
