Ukrainian air defence shot down 93 Russian UAVs, and another 47 drones were lost in the area. A total of 141 Shahed drones and imitators of various types were deployed this night.
They were launched from five directions: Millerovo, Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Russians also fired an Iskander-M ballistic missile at Sumy Region from Kursk, the Air Force said.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defence Forces.
"As of 08.00, 93 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones were confirmed to have been shot down in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyy, Vinnytsya, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolayiv, Kherson and Donetsk Regions. 47 Russian imitator drones were lost locally (without negative consequences), two of them flew to Russia," the statement said.
