On 18 January, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with 39 Shahed attack UAVs, various types of imitation drones, and launched four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles. This was reported by the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
As of 08:00, two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles were confirmed downed in Kyiv Region and 24 Shahed-type strike UAVs and other types of drones in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyy, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Donetsk Regions.
Another 14 Russian drones were lost locally (without any negative consequences).
As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv, people were killed — the downed ballistic missiles fell in the Shevchenkivskyy district of the city. The company's production building was partially destroyed, and houses, the entrance to the subway, cars and the main water supply system were damaged.
According to preliminary data, there is no information on casualties in Zaporizhzhya, search operations are ongoing, but there are injured people who are being helped. Russians struck one of the city's enterprises with ballistic missiles, damaging residential building and vehicles.
