As a result of the morning shelling of Kyiv, a non-residential building in the Shevchenkivskyy district caught fire, with a number of people reported dead and injured.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, three people have been killed in Russian attack on Kyiv — a security guard at a catering establishment and a man and woman in a minibus.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported fire in the Shevchenkivskyy district.
The head of the KCMA Tymur Tkachenko reported on the victims of Russian shelling: "We already have four dead in Shevchenkivskyy district, three injured. In Holosiyivskyy district, a piece of debris fell, but it did not ignite."
According to Klitschko, windows in the Shevchenkivskyy district were smashed and there is smoke in the entrance of a residential building. The glass elements of the entrance to Lukyanivska metro station were also damaged. The station is currently closed for entry and exit. Trains are running without stopping at the station.
In addition, a water supply pipeline was also damaged in the Shevchenkivskyy district. "Repair crews are on their way," the mayor added.
According to the State Emergency Service, ten cars were damaged. There is also partial destruction of an administrative building, a business centre and a shop. The main water supply was damaged. A fire was detected in one of the buildings and has been contained.
A total of 84 rescuers and 22 units of basic and special fire and rescue equipment are currently working at the scene.
