The General Staff has confirmed a strike on Russian strategic targets. Defence forces attacked military infrastructure as well as fuel and energy facilities.
The Ilskyy oil refinery in the Krasnodar Region and two oil pumping stations were hit, causing a large-scale fire at the refinery.
The Kropotkinskaya and Andreapol stations, which supplied fuel for the occupation forces, are now out of commission. This is expected to significantly disrupt fuel supply logistics for the aggressor.
“Ukraine’s defence forces reserve the right to strike strategic targets that support Russia’s armed aggression. Operations to destroy energy infrastructure linked to Russia’s illegal war will continue,” the statement said.
- Yesterday, Russians reported drone attacks and explosions near the Ilskyy oil refinery and Kropotkinskaya station.
- The Defence Forces emphasised that refineries are legitimate military targets, as they supply fuel to the occupying forces. Earlier this week, the DIU also attacked an oil refinery in Russia’s Nizhniy Novgorod Region.
