President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Donald Trump’s statement that he has only 4% support, calling it Russian disinformation. He stated that Ukraine has evidence of discussions between the US and Russia on these figures. Zelenskyy made these remarks at a press conference after returning from the UAE and Turkey.

He declined to comment on ratings but noted that the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology had published a survey that morning, showing he has 57% trust.

“I’ve heard 57% in various polls. If someone wants to change me right now, it will not work right now,” he said.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainians’ top concerns in polls are protection from shelling and the return of prisoners, yet the US administration has ignored these findings.

He also accused Trump of bringing Russia out of isolation and portraying the occupiers as victims.

The President stated that the US has provided Ukraine with about $67 billion in military aid and $31 billion in direct financial assistance - far from the $500 billion Trump claims to seek from Ukraine’s mineral resources. He noted that the war has cost Ukraine about $320 billion so far.

  • After the US delegation met Russian officials in Saudi Arabia, Trump claimed that Zelenskyy had only 4% support and suggested elections should be a condition for Ukraine’s participation in negotiations. Disinformation about Ukraine’s leadership being illegitimate due to postponed elections under martial law is part of a Russian propaganda campaign.
