On the night of 2 April, the Russian cities of Kursk and Taganrog came under large-scale drone attacks, prompting local authorities to order evacuations.
Around 15 explosions were heard over Kursk. According to the acting governor, UAV wreckage fell onto the roof of a residential building. As a result, 60 residents were relocated by emergency services.
In Taganrog, authorities declared a state of emergency after a downed drone damaged the walls of a multi-storey building. A total of 85 residents were temporarily evacuated. The governor stated that the building remained connected to utilities and that its main structures were intact. At least two residents were injured.
