Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyy took part in the quarterly conference of the Logistics Forces Command on the organisation and repair of weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The event was attended by the military, as well as heads of enterprises, institutions and organisations of various forms of ownership that support the functioning of our combat units.

“Given the intensification of the enemy’s offensive, I stressed the need to strengthen the protection of weapons and military equipment, speed up the restoration of damaged weapons and equipment and their return to combat missions. Prompt execution of work, improvement of repair quality standards, effective asymmetric solutions to counter enemy FPV drones, introduction of new technical solutions – these are our responses to the challenges of modern warfare,” said Syrskyy.

He said that the Ukrainian army is building up its capabilities in the field of attack drones, including those with fibre-optic control, as well as interceptor drones and electronic warfare. Domestic defence companies are actively working on this.

“In addition, we need to improve logistics and combat support to make the delivery of our servicemen in armoured vehicles to the front line faster and safer,” the Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief added.

He also noted the increasing role of the private sector, which demonstrates high adaptability and responsiveness to the needs of the Armed Forces – in particular, in the repair of foreign-made weapons.

  • At the end of March, Russia launched an offensive in Sumy and Kharkiv Regions – the number of attacks there almost doubled. The enemy had planned an offensive last year, but the Kursk operation prevented it. Read more about this in an interview with Oleksandr Syrskyy: “The enemy’s prepared mobilisation resource is about 5 million people. The total mobilisation resource is 20 million”.
