Ukraine has fulfilled 81% of its obligations under the Association Agreement with the European Union.
This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal following the 10th meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council.
‘The greatest progress has been recorded in the field of intellectual property, education, information exchange, humanitarian policy, justice, public procurement, and national security. In these and other areas, Ukraine has fulfilled more than 90% of its commitments,’ the Prime Minister said.
Shmyhal added that in 2024, Ukraine also made particular progress in the customs, healthcare and finance sectors.
‘This year, we aim to open all six clusters in the EU accession negotiations, as well as to deepen sectoral integration,’ the Prime Minister said.
- This month, Shmyhal said that bilateral screening had already been completed in three clusters. Now they expect to open negotiating clusters in the coming months.
