Today, the Russian military launched a missile attack on the training ground of one of the mechanised brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, where military personnel were being trained.
This is stated in the report by the Land Forces.
Three people were reported dead. As of 19:27, the number of wounded is 14.
All the injured are receiving the necessary qualified assistance in medical institutions.
A special commission has been set up at the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to investigate the circumstances of the incident. Law enforcement agencies are also working at the scene.
“At the same time, additional security measures are being taken to preserve the lives and health of servicemen in case of repeated missile and air strikes by the aggressor state,” the statement said.
- On 1 June, Russian forces attacked the 239th training ground in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, killing 12 people and injuring more than 60. Following this incident, Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhaylo Drapatyy, resigned. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy later appointed Drapatyy to command the Joint Forces.
- A few days later, Russians fired ballistic missiles at a training ground in Poltava Region. Two people were injured in that attack and died later in hospital.
