There are dead and wounded in Kyiv as a result of the attack on the night of 28 August. As of 15:04, 18 victims and 38 wounded are reported, Tymur Tkachenko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, wrote. Among the deceased are four minors. Earlier it was reported that three children aged 2, 14 and 17 were killed.
One person died in the Shevchenkivskyy district, the rest in Darnytskyy, where the Russians hit a five-story building. At least three children were hospitalised, and a total of 10 minors were injured.
As of 11 a.m., ten were known to have been missing and 13 dead. Rescue work continues in five locations in Darnytskyy, Shevchenkivskyy and Desnyanskyy districts.
The consequences of the strikes were recorded in the Dniprovskyy, Darnytskyy, Shevchenkivskyy, Svyatoshynskyy, Desnyanskyy, Obolonskyy, Holosiyivskyy and Solomyanskyy districts of the capital – that is, in 8 out of 10 districts.

“We are working with the Head of the State Emergency Service at one of the locations. Rescue and search operations are in full swing. The operational situation is changing dynamically. We are involving the State Emergency Service’s aviation to extinguish the fires,” the Minister of Internal Affairs said at around 6:20 a.m.
“Three people were rescued alive from under the rubble. There is a high probability that there are still people under the ruins. Climbers, dog handlers, psychologists, engineering, fire and rescue equipment are involved. Robotic equipment is being actively used to clear the area so that rescuers can work faster. A total of about 500 rescuers and 1,000 police officers are working simultaneously in Kyiv,” Klymenko clarified at around 7:30 a.m.
A shopping centre in the city centre was hit, Klitschko reported after 6 a.m. The attack on the capital lasted for many hours, and each wave caused damage. The alarm was declared at 9:24 p.m. and lasted until 6:24 a.m.
In total, there is destruction in 20 locations, with residential buildings on the left bank of the city suffering the most damage.



Dniprovskyy district
Russians targeted a 25-storey building, damaging a kindergarten and setting cars on fire in a car park.
“In the Dniprovskyy district, debris fell on a three-storey office building, causing a fire. There were also fires in a 25-storey and a 9-storey building. Debris fell on a kindergarten, causing a fire. Cars were burning in the car park,” said Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
Shevchenkivskyy
There is damage in many locations. A residential building caught fire and an office building and an educational institution were damaged. Subsequently, cars caught fire, and the fire spread to non-residential buildings. Then another house was damaged.







Holosiyivskyy
Damage in at least ten locations. Most of it was caused by a Russian attack at dawn.
Solomyanskyy
A private home caught fire as a result of falling debris.
Desnyanskyy
Debris fell. A house caught fire.
Svyatoshynskyy
A drone fell into the courtyard of a nine-storey building.
Obolonskyy
According to preliminary data, offices were damaged.
Darnytskyy
Damage in at least six locations. Five- and 16-storey residential buildings and a kindergarten were damaged. Debris hit private houses. There is damage to the first to fifth floors of a five-storey building.
