Kyiv, Lviv present international cultural project United by Art dedicated to solidarity with Ukraine

On 25 November, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv hosted the opening of the international cultural project United by Art — an event uniting artists from different countries around the idea of supporting Ukraine and emphasising the role of art during wartime.

A special guest was Darcy Ataman, a Canadian producer, director and artist, who came to Kyiv to present the documentary ‘Ukrainian Artists United and the art installation ‘All the Love We Cannot Bear, Articulated’.

Participants also had the opportunity to meet Kateryna Tymchenko, producer of the documentary PALYANYTSIA’, and the project curator Kateryna Kucherova.

United by Art will take place in Kyiv and Lviv: presentations are scheduled for 25 and 27 November in the capital, and 1 and 3 December in Lviv. The initiative brings together music, cinema and contemporary art, creating a platform for dialogue between artists and audiences. The project aims to amplify Ukraine’s voice globally through works by international artists created directly within a Ukrainian context.

The programme will feature works by artists from Canada, the US and Georgia.
