Today, 3 May, Russian forces struck Dnipro. A student hall of residence in the city has been damaged. Eight people have been injured, including a 9-year-old child.
This was reported in a Telegram post by the head of the Dnipro Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha. Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko stated that the building is a student hall of residence belonging to Dnipro National University.
According to updated information as of 16:35, eight people required medical attention following the attack. Half of them are in hospital. Two men aged 21 and 24 and a 69-year-old woman are in a moderately serious condition. Doctors assess the condition of a 21-year-old woman as satisfactory.
“The enemy struck a residential area of Dnipro. A student hall of residence has been damaged,” said Hanzha. He initially reported that two people had been injured. A 24-year-old man was hospitalised in a moderately serious condition, while a 37-year-old woman was treated at the scene.
Svyrydenko wrote that the target was a hall of residence at Dnipro National University, where students and displaced persons live. The building and nearby cars were also damaged.
People were in the basement during the attack. Rescue workers are evacuating them.
