The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the National Police have detained four more suspects in connection with the attack on servicemen and police officers that took place in Lviv on 8 July during mobilisation notification measures.

This has been reported by the SBU press office.

According to the SBU, those detained include 21-year-old and 45-year-old residents of Lviv, as well as two 28-year-old servicemen, one of whom is alleged to have left his military unit without authorisation.

Investigators said the suspects were among the most active participants in the incident. They allegedly blocked the military vehicle, jumped on it, and damaged it.

The detainees are expected to be served with notices of suspicion under Article 114-1, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period. One of the servicemen also faces a charge under Article 407 for leaving his military unit or place of service without authorisation.

The investigation is ongoing to identify everyone involved in the attack. The operation is being conducted by the SBU's Lviv regional office and the National Police under the procedural supervision of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
