A Russian drone attacked a passenger train in the Zaporizhzhya Region. A train attendant was injured.

This was reported by Ukraine’s Minister for Recovery, Infrastructure and Transport, Mykola Kalashnyk. 

"Russia continues targeted attacks on transport infrastructure facilities. This time, an enemy UAV hit a passenger train in the Zaporizhzhya Region," the statement said.

Thanks to the timely actions of Ukrzaliznytsya’s monitoring group, passengers and staff were evacuated in time. There were no fatalities. The train attendant sustained a leg injury and is receiving the necessary medical care.

A bus transfer to Zaporizhzhya has been arranged for passengers.

"The safety of passengers and railway workers remains a priority, so train operations in the region will be under the maximum oversight of our monitoring groups. Please note that transfers involving buses and suburban electric trains to/from Zaporizhzhya are possible—please pay attention to personalised notifications in the Ukrzaliznytsya app," Ukrzaliznytsya added.
