Today, Ukrainian defenders attacked targets in three directions in Russia, in temporarily occupied territories and at sea.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote about this on Telegram.
“Today, our long-range capabilities worked in three directions on Russian territory, as well as on our temporarily occupied land and at sea,” his message said.
In particular, in response to Russian strikes on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, cities and communities, two major logistics facilities were hit—in the Moscow and Tambov Regions—more than 500 and about 700 kilometres from the front line. The aggressor used them to support deliveries of sanctioned components for the production of drones and navigation equipment. An oil facility was also hit.
In addition, Ukrainian mid-range strikes targeted sites in the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea, as well as in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The President thanked servicemembers of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine—every unit of Ukraine’s Defence Forces—for the precise and coordinated execution of their missions.
- Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert “Madyar” Brovdi reported today that the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck 13 vessels of Russia’s so-called shadow fleet overnight on 18 July in the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
- Officials in Russia complained that overnight on 18 July drones attacked the Moscow Region. Fires broke out at an oil depot in Noginsk and at the Wildberries company’s logistics center in Elektrostal.
